Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu is set to sign for Arsenal ahead of Bayern Munich, Altinordu president Seyit Mehmet Ozkan has claimed.
The 21-year-old centre-back has impressed in the Bundesliga this season, having moved to Germany from the Turkish second-tier side in 2016 for a fee of €2.65 million.
Now, however, he is poised to make the big time, with Arsenal set to complete a swoop for the youngster.

“Caglar Soyuncu set to join Arsenal,” Ozkan confirmed at the International Football Economic Forum.
“Arsenal demanded his youth information from us. We'll earn from him, if he joins Arsenal. Bayern Munich wants him too, but he's on the way to the Premier League.”
Soyuncu, whose ability on the ball has been particularly praised, has played 25 times in the Bundesliga so far this season, scoring one goal.
Arsenal, meanwhile, seem content to sign him despite the forthcoming departure of manager Arsene Wenger, who will stand down in the summer.
Their search for a new boss is ongoing, while the team tries to ensure a place in the Champions League next season by winning the Europa League. To that end, they must overcome Atletico Madrid on Thursday, having drawn the first leg 1-1 at the Emirates Stadium.
